Support The Lion's Pride Peer Mentoring Program with Trivia Night
Lion's Pride is returning for our second annual Are You Smarter Than A Ninth Grader? Trivia Night on Thursday, July 14. This event will kick off our new fiscal year and our fundraising campaign to raise $300,000 in 300 days to serve 300 students. All the proceeds from the event will support our staff and our school partners for our mentorship program and allow us to expand to three additional school partners for the 2023-2024 school year. This year's event will be in-person, our first in-person event since our founding in September 2019.
The mission of Lion's Pride is to empower upperclassmen student leaders to guide incoming freshmen to reach their fullest potential. We train high-performing juniors and seniors to mentor freshmen, focusing on goal setting, good study habits, and social-emotional growth. Ultimately, Lion's Pride seeks to change Chicago's education landscape by helping more students graduate from high school and the college of their choice.
